Parents...we've dedicated a whole page to you because it is vital for us to partner together in seeing your child grow up to be a Spiritual Champion. With that said...Youth Specialties has provided some great resources to help you better understand the world your teenager lives in. It is our hope that you can take bits and pieces of what you find in the articles and links and apply them to your family. Be sure to check the
Real World Parent link periodically for updated news and articles.

NU
NATION wants to come along side you and your family to encourage and help disciple your student. We are here to reinforce the spiritual teachings and values that is being learned at home throughout the week. So how do you keep you and your student connected to what goes on at NU
NATION? We have come up with four simple things that will positively impact the time you and your student spend at NU
NATION.
1. Make NUNATION a priority and habit: it's so easy to get caught up in the everyday busyness of life that what we feel is important isn't really all the necessary. Your student getting involved and building meaningful friendships happens only one way...by being at NU
NATION. We offer an exciting ministry for them to get involved, learn about God's Word, experience God through song, and connect with their friends. Consistency is the key.
2. Serve as a Volunteer: We offer many ways for you to spend time serving at NU
NATION. Whether it be serving food at "Chow Time," helping at the security desk, becoming a Link Leader, or just being an extra hand at an event we have a place for you to get involved. We have all different types of commitment levels. We can find a place for you.
3. Take advantage of special events: We have events throughout the year designed expecially for your student. What's even better...some of these are free of charge. We also have a Fall Retreat, trips planned in the Spring and Summer, and times where we do things just because we feel like it. This is a great opportunity to get your student plugged in and gives them a chance to meet new students his/her age.
4. Come by: We want you to come by and check us out from time to time to see what's going on. We want you to be a part of your student's spiritual transformation. It's important to know what your student is experiencing so don't forget to ask what they are learning.
That's it! Just four simple things to keep in mind this school year. Remember, at NU
NATION we desire to lead our students in worshiping their creator and live out their purpose in the world.
